AUBURNDALE, Fla. –  The Florida Tropics SC Presented by Bond Clinic  will be back in action Sunday following their record setting win two weeks ago that left them in second place in the United Premier Soccer League’s Florida West division.

The Tropics will travel to St. Petersburg Sunday to meet Huracan FC. The game is set to kick off at Jack Puryear Park at 5 p.m. The game had to be moved to Puryear park because the Huracan’s normal field is still not playable due to the impacts of Tropical Storm Eta.

Florida is 4-1-0, and is coming off an 11-1 win over Sporting Tampa Bay, scoring the most goals in a single game in the team’s outdoor history, on Nov. 1. A Nov. 7 matchup against the St. Petersburg Aztecs had to be postponed, and no makeup date has yet been announced.

The Tropics will close out the month on the road with big road showdowns Nov. 21 against Winter Haven United, and at Sarasota to take on Dragon City FC on Nov. 28 in a battle that is shaping up to be for first place in the division.

The Tropics will play a 12-game fall season and are the defending 2019 Spring UPSL national champions. Because of the ongoing pandemic, the UPSL did not play a spring season this year. Florida will also start its fifth season playing indoors in the Major Arena Soccer League this winter as the defending Eastern Conference champions. Games are played at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.
