Diegues nets three as Tropics SC grabs sole possession of UPSL Florida Central West division
AUBURNDALE, Fla. – Ricardo Diegues scored three goals in the first half, and the United Premier Soccer League Tropics SC took over top spot in the Pro Premier Florida Central West division Friday night with an 8-0 rout of Inter City Orlando FC at Lake Myrtle Sports Park.
For the season, Diegues has nine goals in five games. He was also the leading goal scorer this past winter for the team's sister franchise, the Florida Tropics of the Major Arena Soccer League.
The Tropics also got single markers from Lucas Montelares, Hermon Constant, Xavier Silva, Eduardo Cruz and Pascal Millien, a former star for Auburndale High School who had 114 goals in his three seasons as a Bloodhound.
Hugo Silva earned his fourth solo clean sheet, and shared a fifth with backup Jorge Navarette, as the team has not allowed a goal in any of its five games this spring.
The team will conclude a five-game home stand on Sautrday, May 4, when the 5-0-0 Tropics SC host Greater Orlando Soccer Academy at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. The game will be streamed live at www.mycujoo.com.
