Florida looks for a little road magic Saturday in Milwaukee against the Wave
MILWAUKEE – The Florida Tropics SC will hit the road for the third straight time this Saturday when they take on the division-leading Milwaukee Wave. Kickoff is at 7:05 p.m. (CST), and the game will be broadcast live at www.masl.tv.
Florida is looking for its first road win of the 2018-19 season, having dropped six in a row away from the friendly confines of the RP Funding Center in Lakeland. Their road losing streak stands at nine games, with their last win away from home a 12-9 triumph at Harrisburg on Feb. 23, 2018.
Florida is expecting too get some of its injured players back, including top defender Lucas Teixeira, who has only appeared in four games this year, and assist leader Max Touloute who missed last weekend's road games in St. Louis and Kansas City.
Still out however, is leading scorer Guilherme, and top defender Lucas Montelares who injured a knee and is likely to miss the rest of the season.
The Tropics have gotten a big boost from newcomers Andre Braithwaite and Antonio Jose Manfut, who each have four goals a piece in the four games they have played since joining Florida in mid January. The Tropics leading scorer is Victor Parreiras, who in nine games has recorded 9 goals and six assists.
Milwaukee's potent and balanced offense is led by Ian Bennett (17 goals, 4 assists), Max Ferdinand (5 goals, 15 assists) and Robert Renaud (9 goals, 11 assists).
