Florida Tropics SC Name Ryan Sweet Assistant General Manager
Lakeland, FL – Florida Tropics Soccer Club CEO and Owner Andrew Haines announced today that Ryan Sweet would be named the Assistant General Manager of the team.
Sweet is set to join the Tropics in late March after a season with the St. Louis Ambush in the Major Arena Soccer League. Sweet was the leading ticket sales representative in his first year as a Sales Executive for the Ambush. The Ambush would go on to post one of the top three attendances in the league during Sweet’s time with the organization.
“We are very excited to have Sweet on board for the inaugural season of the Tropics. His hard work ethic and positive attitude will be crucial to the growth of this organization,” said General Manager Andrew Ross.
Sweet was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University. During his time at Southeast Missouri, Sweet majored in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration. Sweet began his career in the sports industry as part of his degree, working as an intern in the front office of the Mississippi RiverKings of the Southern Professional Hockey League. In his free time, Sweet enjoys cheering on his hometown teams, St. Louis Cardinals, Blues, Missouri Redhawks, Mizzou Tigers, and the U.S. national teams.
The Florida Tropics are a professional indoor soccer team that will begin play in November of 2016 at the Lakeland Civic Center.
