The Florida Tropics SC will call SYKES Field home for the 2017-18 season, their second in the Major Arena Soccer League which starts with two road games the first weekend in November, followed by the anticipated home opener on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Fans who attended Tropics games last year will be in for a treat this season. SYKES Field has undergone millions of dollars in upgrades in the summer, including two new larger and sharper imaged video boards, and ribbon video boards along each side of soccer pitch.

"We are thrilled to be able to partner with such a community-minded and dynamic organization like Sykes to bring the very best of professional indoor soccer to tens of thousands of soccer fans in Polk County," Tropics Chief Operating Officer Chris Economides noted. "Sykes is a leader in their field, and having them onboard speaks volumes about how far our organization has come in just one season. We know they share our community goals and philosophy of excellence in everything they do, and are helping to make our pitch one of the premier facilities in the MASL."
