LAKELAND -- The Kickers FC has extended its unbeaten streak to six following a 5-1 win over South Tampa in Florida Suncoast Soccer League action this past weekend.

The Kickers dropped their first game of the season, but have gone 4-0-2 since. Tevin Gage and Caio Ruiz each netted two goals for the winners, while Maycon Franca added a goal as well.

The Kickers now have 14 points in the league table, eight behind first-place Brandon Town FC, although the Kickers have played two fewer games. One of those ties during the unbeaten streak was a 1-1 final against Brandon.

The Kickers are off for the holiday weekend, but will be back in action Dec. 2 on the road when they meet SPC Premier at 9 a.m. at the Sarasota Football Club fields.
