Moojen will suit up for Team Canada in exhibition game Saturday against Baltimore Blast

BALTIMORE – Florida Tropics captain and assistant coach Freddy Moojen will be back to the arena game Saturday night in Baltimore when the three-time defending Major Arena Soccer League Blast meet the Canadian National Arena team in an exhibition game at SECU arena.

The game will be broadcast live on the MASL's You Tube channel slated for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Moojen, a native of Brazil, was granted Canadian citizenship in 2013. and has played for the Canadian National Futsal Team. In the 2016 CONCACAF Futsal Championships, he was the tournament's leading scorer.

Over the past two years, Moojen has appeared in 41 of the Tropics 42 games, scoring 39 goals  and 16 assists. His professional arena soccer career began in 2007-08 with the MISL New Jersey Ironmen. Since then, he's appeared in 181 games, netting 175 goals and 81 assists.

He recently signed a two-year deal to stay with the Tropics who will open their third MASL season in early December, playing a 24-game home and away schedule that runs through the end of March.

His 22 goals last year was the third highest total of his 11 year career which has included stops in St. Louis, Dallas, Chicago, Wichita, and Baltimore. He was voted most popular Tropics player in a fan vote at the end of last season.
