Florida Tropics SC fans will get a chance to get their first look at the second-year Major Arena Soccer League team during a special “Fan Fest” event Saturday, Oct. 21 at Sykes Field in the main arena of RP Funding Center starting. The event starts at 12 noon.

One of the highlights of the free family afternoon of entertainment will be an open practice from 12 noon to 2 p.m. The roster is full of returning stars, including the three leading goal getters from a year ago – captain Freddy Moojen, Ricardo Diegues and Victor Parreiras.

Joining the Tropics for the 2017-18 season will be one of the game's premier scorers, Mauricio Salles, who has 195 goals in 160 career arena games. Defensively, Florida signed goalkeeper Miguel Gallardo, a star with Orlando City who led them to a pair of United Soccer League championships.

Also highlighting the afternoon is the opportunity to purchase midfield season tickets for just $99 for the first 100 fans who take advantage of that special price, which means they won't miss a second of action in the 11 home games which start with the home opener on Saturday, Nov. 11 against the Cedar Rapids Rampage. Fans can select their own seats while taking advantage of this special price during the event, which will also include autograph sessions with the players, bounce houses for the kids,  and even a chance to play on the field with some of the Tropics players themselves!

Sykes Field is located at the RP Funding Center, formerly the Lakeland Center. For more information, call the Tropics office at 863-240-0101.

The regular season starts on the road Nov. 4 and 5 with contests against the RGV Barracudas and Monterrey Flash respectively. All 22 regular season Tropics games will be broadcast live at
