Sandoval, three others earn Week 13 Major Arena Soccer League honors

LAKELAND, Fla.  – Joshio Sandoval was named a first-team All MASL team pick for week 13 – and three other teammates were honorable mention selections – following a split of weekend games.

Sandoval had a goal and two assists in a 14-3 win over Rochester after coming over mid-season in a trade with the Orlando Seawolves. 

Zach Reget had a five point game against Orlando, while Drew Ruggles added two goals, and Gordy Gurson had a goal and two assists for their honorable mention selections. Gurson also had a goal and two assists in a 6-5 loss at Milwaukee which snapped Florida's nine-game win streak.

The Tropics will be back at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland on Saturday, Feb. 22 when they host the Sonora Soles in a 5:05 p.m. start. It is the team's annual "Free game" sponsored by Lakeland Electric. Fans can claim up to four free tickets by going fltropics.com/lakelandelectric.
