Three-goal night earns Arico All MASL weekly honor

LAKELAND -- Anthony Arico wasn't quite sure if he could ever remember scoring three-goals in one arena soccer game in the past.

But his hat trick Friday night against the Harrisburg Heat earned the Tropics player All MASL First Team honors, a feat which featured an unforgettable third goal on a great individual effort to Harrisburg Heat goalkeeper Hugo Silva.

For the season, Arico has 10 goals and three assists in 15 games played this year. That is good for fifth best on the team in goals and total points.

The Tropics will close the home part of their 2017-18 regular seaason with a weekend doubleheader against the San Diego Sockers Friday at Saturday night on SYKES Field at the RP Funding Center.
