Tropics and Glory Days Grill Lakeland Announce Partnership and Youth Soccer Fundraiser

LAKELAND, Fla. – The Lakeland Tropics (USL PDL Affiliate of Florida Tropics SC) and Glory Days Grill Lakeland have agreed to a partnership to make Glory Days Grill the Official Post Game and Watch Party Location of the Lakeland Tropics for the upcoming 2018 PDL Season.

In addition to hosting the watch parties, Glory Days Grill will also partner with the Lakeland Tropics to have a fundraiser for youth athletes looking to participate in the Lakeland Tropics Youth Club. 50% of Glory Days Grill water bottles sold at Lakeland Tropics’ home games this season will be donated to a scholarship fund that will help alleviate costs for athletes wishing to be part of the Youth Club. Athletes can apply starting May 1^st for competitive and recreation scholarships.

“We are very excited about this partnership with Glory Days Grill” said Tropics General Manager Andrew Ross, “We have said it from day 1 that it is our goal to provide every child in Polk County the opportunity to play soccer no matter what their situation is, and this helps us get closer to that goal. This not only gives our fans a great atmosphere to watch the Tropics games at, but also helps pour into the future of our community by raising funds that will go directly to scholarships for our Youth Club.”

The Tropics and Glory Days will also partner to host a watch party for the 2018 World Cup Final. “Our hope is to brand a location that our fans can go to for watch parties and everything soccer. We look forward to growing this partnership and making Glory Days Grill Lakeland the go to spot for everything sports, and especially premier Soccer matches in and out of Lakeland,” said Tropics Assistant General Manager Hunter Lucier.

About Lakeland Tropics: The Lakeland Tropics are part of the eight-team PDL Southeastern Division, which also features first-year teams in the Rowdies and Aguilas.
