AUBURNDALE, Fla. – While young fans will be treated to an early Easter egg hunt, the Florida Tropics will be on the hunt for their second win of the United Premier Soccer League’s outdoor spring season Saturday when they host local rival Winter Haven United.

As a special attraction, youngsters are invited to participate in a pre-game Easter egg hunt starting at 5:45 p.m. Prize filled eggs will include four "golden ticket" eggs what include special Tropics prizes.

Both teams will be looking to bounce back from tough losses last weekend. The Tropics fell to Florida Premier FC, 3-1, while Winter Haven opened its 2021 campaign with a tough 1-0 road loss to the always tough St. Petersburg Aztecs. Florida started its spring with a 7-1 rout of Tampa FC on March 13.

Will Nyamsi has four goals in two games to lead the Tropics, who twice defeated Winter Haven last season in spirited matchups in the fall. Florida took a 4-1 win over the United at Lake Myrtle, and then scored a 3-1 win on the road later in the season in Winter Haven.

After Saturday, the Tropics – currently in second place in the UPSL’s Premier Florida West division – will be back in action on the road for games on April 10 against Naples FC before returning to Lake Myrtle on April 17 to host the Aztecs.
