AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- The FLorida Tropics United Premier Soccer League outdoor team is chugging towards the end of the regular season -- including a key showdown next weekend against St. Petersburg -- starting with a home match Saturday against Naples FC.

The Tropics and St. Petersburg remain tied atop the UPSL's Premier Florida West division, although the Aztecs have played two fewer games to date. Florida is 6-2-1 while St. Petersburg is 6-0-1 good for 19 points

Saturday's game against Naples will be held on a different home field for Florida. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at the Cypress Youth Soccer Complex in Lakeland (2399 Edgewood Drive). Parking will be $10; no tickets are required to attend. Fans are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

This is the second meeting of the year between the two sides. Florida took a 3-0 decisoin on the road over Naples on April 10. Will Eyang, who is fourth in the country for UPSL play with 13 goals on the season, had two in that contest, including one on a penalty kick. Rayan Lammers added the other Tropics score.

After Saturday, the Tropics will travel to St. Pete's for a June 5 7 p.m. kickoff at the Belcher Sports Complex, before returning to their usual home field at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale on Saturday, June 12 against the PSE Conquistadores.
