Tropics home games now available on DirecTV, other national streaming, cable channels

LAKELAND, Fla – Fans of the Florida Tropics and the Major Arena Soccer League will have additional viewing options to watch the team’s home game following an agreement which will place games on DirecTV, many streaming services, and a large selection of local cable television lineups for the remainder of the 2021-22 season.

Games will be available on the For the Fans (FTF) network that reaches some 90 million homes worldwide through a broad array of network and cable television affiliations. FTF can be found on Direct TV (Channel 623), ATT U-verse (1665), and Verizon Fios (597). FTF is available on connected devices as well like Roku (Channel 228), Samsung TV Plus (1167), Xumo (711) and Distro (38) along with dozens of national cable providers like Atlantic Broadband (501) Mediacom (679) and Centurylink.

The Tropics first two games were also shown live on the new network of providers, including the MASL YouTube channel, where all games home and away will continue to be broadcast live. 

The Tropics are in their sixth season of play in the Major Arena Soccer League, and over the past two regular season, have posted the league’s best regular season record at 28-6. They are off to a 3-1 start this year, good for first place in the MASL’s four-team eastern division. The next broadcast will be Sunday, Jan. 2 when they host Utica City FC. Kickoff is at 3:05 p.m. 

Additional games to be aired on the full network this month include Jan. 9 against Utica, Jan. 14 and 16 against the Harrisburg Heat, Jan. 21 and 23 against the Dallas Sidekicks and Jan. 30 against the St. Louis Ambush.
