Tropics hope fans have a heart for Friday night jersey auction

LAKELAND – The Florida Tropics SC will have a new look Friday night when the Harrisburg Heat visit SYKES Field at the RP Funding Center.

That's because the team's traditional uniforms will be replaced with special red ones. The game worn jerseys will then be up for auction with proceeds to benefit the American Heart Association. The evening is sponsored by Bond Clinic and P.A. And Winter Haven Hospital.

Fans can also take advantage of a special ticket deal that includes two 100 level seats and $10 Sonny's BBQ gift card for just $20. Go to www.fltropics.com for details.

The Tropics are a game back of Syracuse for the final playoff spot in the MASL eastern division. The game kicks off the final three-game homestand of the season with the San Diego Sockers coming to town Feb. 16 and 17 for a double header weekend.

All Tropics games home and aware are broadcast live at www.masl.tv. The team will finish with four straight on the road, starting with a trip to Harrisburg and Baltimore the final weekend in February.
