Tropics Name Andrew Ross General Manager/VP of Operations

Lakeland, FL – The Florida Tropics SC have named Andrew Ross General Manager and Vice President of Operations, CEO Andrew Haines announced today.

Ross will oversee the company’s business operations and report directly to the team ownership. Ross joins the company after spending the past 2 years working for Orlando City Soccer Club in the ticket sales department, helping the club sell out there inaugural season home opener with over 65,000 fans, and reach 18,000 season ticket holders. Prior to working with Orlando City, Andrew worked directly under the Executive Vice President of Operations at USL (United Soccer League) headquarters in Tampa. Ross also gained experience with indoor soccer while working with the Syracuse Silver Knights during his college tenure.

Ross has over 15 years of playing experience both in the United States and abroad, and has been coaching youth soccer for the past 5 years. “I believe my past experience, knowledge, and passion for the game will translate into the success of this organization. I have played and studied the game in many different countries, both in South America and Europe, and am eager to use both my player and business experience to grow this organization.”

Ross was born in Asuncion, Paraguay, but grew up just outside of Washington, DC. He obtained his degree in Sport Management from the David B. Falk College of Human and Sport Dynamics at Syracuse University.
