Tropics place pair -- Ian Bennett and Drew Rugglels -- on All MASL Week Two Team

LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Florida Tropics have placed two players on the All MASL Week Two team, including forward Ian Bennett and reigning MASL Defender of the Year Drew Ruggles.

Bennett capped an amazing weekend with a goal and two assists Sunday against Kansas City, two days after scoring his second straight hat trick and getting the game winning goal in overtime against the Comens on Friday. Florida won that game 8-7, and rolled to a 7-4 win Sunday.

Ruggles had a goal and two assists in Sunday's win, which lifted the team to a 4-0 start on the 2021 season, one short of the team record for most wins to start a season.

Florida will be back in action at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland this Saturday when they host the Dallas Sidekicks in a 5:05 p.m. kickoff. Tickets are available online through the team's event listing on its facebook page, or by calling 863-240-0101.
