LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Florida Tropics will head into the Major Arena Soccer League post-season with back-to-back wins after defeating the St. Louis Ambush Sunday afternoon at the RP Funding Center.

The Tropics, in their seventh season in the MASL, will meet the Baltimore Blast in an Eastern Conference semi-final showdown. Game one of the two-game series will be Friday night in Lakeland starting at 7:05 p.m, with game two tentatively set for Saturday night in Baltimore. If the two teams split the results, then a 15-minute "knockout" game will be held at the conclusion of game two Saturday in Baltimore.

The two teams played each other three times in the regular season -- all back in the first month of the season -- with the Tropics taking two out of three games.  Florida finishes in third place in the east, while Milwaukee took the top spot, and will wait the winner of a one-game play-in game April 10 in Utica when the host the Kansas City Comets.

Florida got off to a quick start, scoring two goals 29 seconds apart just three minutes into the game, one by Victor Parreiras and another by Vini Dantas who had two on the game. The Tropics, who led 3-2 at intermission, also got goals from Breno Olivera (game winner), Joey Tavernese and Ricardo Diegues.

Tickets for Friday's home playoff game are available starting at just $7 per game, which includes all fees,  by calling the arena box office at 863-834-8111. Although tickets are also available online at www.rpfundingcenter.com, service fees are significantly higher through Ticketmaster as opposed to calling the box office directly.
