LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Florida Tropics, starting their seventh season in the Major Arena Soccer League next month, have announced that Macron will be their official uniform and merchandise supplier for both the pro indoor team and the Florida Tropics Academy in 2022-23.

Macron was founded in 1971 as a distributor of American sportswear brands in Italy. The company undertook a major expansion in 1994, and began providing teamwear to professional soccer teams and clubs in 2001.

“We are excited to enter into a partnership with a global brand like Macron. They are a leader in the industry and strive for excellence in all they do,” Tropics Head Coach Clay Roberts said. “The Tropics brand is built on excellence which is why this relationship is so exciting. We look forward to representing the Macron brand as best we can this upcoming year. The pro team will be fully represented as well as the entire Florida Tropics Academy.”

The Tropics – presented by Bond Clinic -- will open their 24-game regular season schedule on Saturday, Dec. 10 in Baltimore.

After its season opener on the road against the Blast, Florida will open the home portion of their schedule on Saturday, Dec. 17, when they host Utica in a 5:05 p.m. start, the first of three-straight home games during the holiday season, with back-to-back games against the Baltimore Blast Dec. 21 and 23 at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.

The Tropics are in the seven team Eastern Conference, which in addition to Utica and Baltimore, includes the Harrisburg Heat, Milwaukee Wave, Kansas City Comets and St. Louis Ambush. The Tropics won the Eastern Division last year, and the East Conference crown in 2019-20.
