Tropics SC look for Central Florida crown in UPSL playoff showdown with Macca Ballers Saturday

AUBURNDALE, Fla. – The Tropics SC will be looking for their third straight playoff win, and the right to advance to the UPSL state championship round of the post-season, when they host the Macca Ballers FC Saturday night at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex.

The Tropics come in after two straight 3-0 playoff wins, improving their record to 14-0-0 on the season, good for first place in the UPSL Pro Premier Flordia Central West division. They have outscored their opponents 40-4, with netminder Hugo Silva posting shutouts in both playoff wins. For the season, Silva and backup Jorge Navarette have combined for 10 clean sheets.

The Ballers, based out of Winter Park, finished the regular season third in the Central East division with a 7-3-2 mark, and a goal differential of plus 9. They have scored eight goals in their two playoff wins over Leg A-Z International  and St. Petersburg Aztecs FC.

The winner of Saturday's matchup will play for the UPSL Florida Pro Premier crown on Saturday, July 6 against the winner of Boca Raton FC vs. Hialeah City FC which will be played in South Florida this Saturday.
