LAKELAND – When the Florida Tropics SC hit the pitch at the Lakeland Center next November for their second year in the Major Arena Soccer League, they'll have plenty of impressive records to shoot for.

Of course, everything the Tropics did this season was a record of sorts, since it was the team's inaugural campaign. Still, there will be some marks that will tough to beat, like captain Freddy Moojen's fastest goal (nine seconds into the game), or two shorthanded goals in the same game in a road win at Kansas City.

Season tickets for the 2017-18 MASL season are now on sale. As a bonus, those who purchase them now will also get free season tickets for their sister franchise, The Lakeland Tropics who will kick off in the USL Premier Development League in May when Saturday's will become “Soccer Night In Lakeland”.

Six of the Lakeland Tropics seven home games will be on Saturday night at historic Bryant Stadium. A full schedule and ticket information are available at www.lakelandtropics.com, or by calling 863-244-0101. The team will open its season May 11 in Miami, and then will host The Villages SC on May 20 in a 7:35 p.m. start at Bryant Stadium.

The records even include one of the season's top highlights in the MASL, Victor Parreira's bicycle-kick buzze- beating goal against the St. Louis Ambush which went viral worldwide with more than 200,000 views on the Fox Soccer facebook page.
