LAKELAND, Fla. – High-scoring veteran forward Max Touloute along with his rookie brother Luvio Touloute have been signed by the Florida Tropics for the upcoming Major Arena Soccer League season, pending VISA approvals. Per team and league policy, details of the agreement will not be disclosed.

Max Touloute has played professionally indoors since the 2011-12 season when he appeared in seven games with the Wichita Wings.

Including his time with Wichita, he has appeared in 73 league games, scoring 68 goals. He has spent the last two seasons with the San Diego Sockers. In 2016-17, he netted 16 goals in 19 games. Injuries were an issue last season, when he dressed only 11 times and scored just two goals. His best season came in 2015-16 with the Missouri (now Kansas City) Comets when he scored 19 goals in just 13 games played.

“Max is a scoring threat every time he is on the ball,” Tropics Coach Clay Roberts said. “As we continue each year to address our offensive depth and explosiveness, he fits in to a role perfectly for us. He is healthy and can certainly be a major difference maker for us.”

Max has appeared in 19 post-season games, scoring 10 times. In addition to his indoor experience, Max has also played professionally outdoors in Icelands 1st division, and in the US for the Michigan Bucks, Vermont Voltage, Reading United, and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL Championship.

Max's younger brother Luvio will join him on the Tropics roster as a rookie for the MASL. He played college soccer at American University of Lescayes in Haiti.

The Tropics open their 24-game regular season on Saturday, Dec. 1 when they host South Central division foe St. Louis. Kickoff is at 7:05 p.m. at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland. For tickets and more information, go to or call 863-240-0101.
