Tropics Volunteer to Help Clean Up the Community After Irma
Lakeland, FL - The Tropics front office, players and fans volunteered this past Friday for the City of Lakeland Parks and Recreation department to clean up the Oak Hill Burial Ground. "We saw the impact hurricane irma had on the community of Lakeland and Polk County as a whole, and knew we needed to act fast and help", said Tropics GM Andrew Ross. "We asked the city where they wanted us, and upon arriving at the Oak Hill Burial Ground we immediately saw why they needed us there. We hope our clean up helped get the park back open for the families who were waiting anxiously to visit their loved ones." The Tropics are here to help the community! If you need help in future endeavors, please call our front office at 863-240-0101. Check out the photos from the clean up below:
The Tropics will kick off their second season on November 11th at the RP Funding Center. The team will also be hosting a fan fest at the center on October 14th. For more information or to purchase tickets call 863-240-0101 or click the live chat button on the side of your screen.
