UPSL Tropics will be on the road to rematch with St. Petersburg Aztecs

The Florida Tropics will continue to wind down its United Premier Soccer League’s Fall 2020season with a rematch tonight against the St. Petersburg Aztecs. The game was originally scheduled for Nov. 7, but needed to be postponed.

Kickoff will be 7:30 at the Largo United Sports Complex at 1779 Belcher Road in Largo.

The two teams tangled just this past Saturday at Lake Myrtle Sports Complex, with Florida pulling out a 2-1 win on goals by Lucas Montelares and Alexandre Teixeira who got the game winner in the 89th minute.

Florida comes into the game with a 6-2-0 mark, good for second place behind unbeaten Dragon City FC in the UPSL’s Florida West division. The Tropics final regular season game will be next weekend, also on the road, against Sporting Tampa Bay FC.  The Aztecs currently hold down fourth in the division at 4-4-0.

The Tropics are the defending UPSL Spring 2019 national champions. There was no spring 2020 UPSL campaign because of the national Coronavirus outbreak.
