UPSL Tropics will host Naples City FC in 4 p.m. Sunday in Auburndale
AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- The Florida Tropics outdoor side will suit up again Sunday to host Naples City FC in a game that will makr the halfway point of the United Premer Soccer League season.
Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex in Auburndale. The game will be streamed live on Eleven Sports.
The Tropics are in a big mix of teams in the upper half of the UPSL Premier Forida West division. While Leg A-Z leads the division with 13 points (4-1-1), three teams are tied for second with eight points each including the Tropics (2-1-2). The St Petersburg Aztecs (2-2) also have eight points as does Lakeland United who is also 2-1-2. Naples currently sits in seventh place in the eight-team division with three points (1-3-0).
Florida will host Leg A-Z on Sunday, May 22, and is scheduled to be on the road May 28 for their first ever meeting against the United on May 28. A final start time for the game has yet to be set.
Jack Meehan leads the Tropics with four goals this year, followed by Chandler Crawshaw and Jake Van Der Luit with three each.
